Kikoriki live peacefully in their native land, far from the ‘civilized’ world with its skyscrapers and limousines. One day, however, they stumble upon an old TV set. The TV gives them a glimpse of ‘the real world’, far from their untouched paradise. Our heroes become fanatically obsessed with a TV show featuring the superhero Lucien, who bravely defends his city against the evil Caligari. The naive Kikoriki have never seen TV before, and are soon convinced that the world truly is in grave danger. They quickly come to an earth-shattering decision: the Kikoriki must help Lucien save the world! So begins an adventure full of unexpected twists and turns, sure to delight kids all around the world.

The film is Timur's Belmambetov's first experience in Russian animation.
Kikoriki. Team Invincible is the first animation feature film created with stereoscopic 3D technology at Petersburg Animation Studio.
The film is a «road movie» genre, where the characters get into different situations and overcome many obstacles before they reach their goal.
For the first time hundreds of new round-shaped characters, the city inhabitants, are introduced in the film.
The soundtrack was recorded live by Prague symphony orchestra.
The songs are performed by the authors Marina Landa and Sergey Vasiliev, the voice actors and famous Russian singers: Eduard Hill, Yury Okhochincky, Nickolay Fomenko and Billy Novikov (Billy's Band).
