Diana Yurinova, Riki Group’s deputy general producer for international development, has been appointed general director of the Hong Kong company FUN Union, a joint venture between Riki Group and its Chinese partner.
Since 2017 FUN Union, which has offices in Beijing and Guangzhou, has been promoting and distributing Riki Group’s animated standard-bearers: Kikoriki, BabyRiki, and PINCODE. In her new position, Diana will consolidate international marketing, sales and brand development for FUN Union and Riki, work to implement a more active brand development strategy, and take responsibility for FUN Union operations in China. She will continue to serve as Riki Group’s deputy general producer for international development.
Diana Yurinova has worked in international sales and animation project development for more than ten years. She successfully led international distribution for Wizart Animation, where she was responsible for promoting the ‘Snow Queen’ and ‘Wolves and Sheep’ franchises. She is a co-producer of ‘The Snow Queen 2’.
In 2015, Diana was invited to organise and head up the animation division of CTC Media Group, where she launched the popular animated series ‘Kid-E-Cats’.
Diana Yurinova has been responsible for international development and distribution at Riki Group since 2016. Last September, she established a partnership between Riki Group and Alibaba Group in China, a world leader in online commerce. Her first project as part of the strategic agreement was the launch of the animated series ‘Tina & Tony’ on YouKu, China’s biggest video hosting service, where it reached one billion views in four months.
The FUN Union team will continue to grow the content and licencing business on the Chinese market, based on three leading brands created by Riki Group.
Riki Group founder Ilya Popov and the co-owners of FUN Union consider this appointment to be a step toward a unified international development strategy that will bring both companies to new prominence in the international animated content and licencing markets. The Fixies on the Golden Panda award in China
