On 19 May, as part of the 12th St. Petersburg Forum of Youth Organizations for Russian Compatriots and Foreign Russian-Language Media, known as ‘Russia Abroad’, a meeting was held with the creators of the Kikoriki animation project. Riki Group general producer Ilya Popov and the series’ lead director Denis Chernov told the audience about making the standard-bearer of Russian animation, Kikoriki, and about the industry’s development in Russia and abroad.
More than 60 compatriots from over 45 countries attended the meeting, including young leaders and members of Russian youth organizations, art critics, museum and library workers, organizers of cultural and educational events, and experts working in Russian-language media outlets abroad.
The Forum was organized by the St. Petersburg committee on foreign relations with support from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of the national policy with respect to Russians living abroad.
