Tommy the Little Dragon in competition program of TIAF (Tehran)

Animated TV Series, «Tommy the Little Dragon», produced by Petersburg Animation Studio, has been selected for the competition program of the 1th Tehran International Animation Festival.  The episode «Stubbornstan», directed by Tatyana Moshkova, will compete in «TV Production» category together with productions from France and Chile.

Over 1500 entries were submitted for TIAF (Tehran International Animation Festival) in six nominations this year and only 153 films have been selected.  The Festival takes place from 3 to 7 March 2019. 

“Tommy the Little Dragon” is an animated TV series based on the idea of a famous writer, scriptwriter and producer Oleg Roy.  The target audience of the series are kids from 2 to 5 years old.  The main idea of the series is to create a comfortable play space for the little ones, where through magical and educational adventures a child will build up socializing, cognitive and abstract thinking skills.

The story is about a friendship of a panda family and a toy dragon Tommy, who comes to life only when parents don’t see it.  Little baby pandas can’t live without him a single day, because Tommy and his assistant Toyroy can make any boring day into a fantastic adventure and also find answers to the questions of little “whyers”.

The second season of Tommy the Little Dragon is planned for 2019.
